Megan Sonderegger
Board Chair


Megan Sonderegger joined the DotHouse Health Board of Directors in June 2015. As a Registered Nurse with Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program, Ms. Sonderegger has the privilege of assisting some of the strongest, funniest, and most resilient people on their journey toward recovery from substance abuse disorders. Prior to her work with Boston Health Care for the Homeless, Ms. Sondegregger worked at Carney Hospital in the ICU and inpatient psychiatry. Within Dorchester she has served as president of Meeting House Hill Civic Association and as a board member of Bowdoin Geneva Main Streets. Ms. Sondergegger received her BSN from UMass Boston, and is a licensed drug and alcohol counselor and a candidate to become a certified addictions registered nurse.


Christopher McCoy
Vice Chair

 

 


Christopher McCoy is the Associate Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and is the 2nd year (PGY2) Residency Program Director for the Infectious Diseases Pharm practice. Christopher McCoy is also an adjunct Professor at Northeastern University in the Bouve College of Health Sciences and is board certified in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) with added qualifications in infectious diseases. For over 20 years, Mr. McCoy has worked as a clinical pharmacist, practitioner, researcher, and medical scientist. He has also served on a number of boards including the executive board of John McCormack Civic Association in Dorchester, the research board at the Fenway Institute, the interdisciplinary HIV/AIDS health center for research, training, education, and policy development, and has been President of DotOUT, the grassroots, member driven organization committed to acceptance, inclusion, fairness, and equality for the LGBTQ community in Dorchester. Mr. McCoy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Trinity College in Connecticut, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from St. John’s University in New York and a PharmD from MCPHS University in Boston. He was appointed to the Board in June of 2015.


 

Jack Wu

Treasurer

 

Jack Wu is an experienced finance administrator with public service and private sector experience. Most recently, Mr. Wu was the Chief Financial Officer at College Bound Dorchester, Inc., a non-profit organization committed to transforming the neighborhood of Dorchester by equipping students with the attitudes, skills and experience to graduate from college. He is also an entrepreneur who is a partner and co-founder of Dorchester’s homestead bakery & café, LLC. In his spare time, Mr. Wu volunteers as a financial reviewer for the United Way. He holds a bachelor of science in Business Administration from Babson College.


Phi Tran
Secretary


Phi Tran works as a Vietnamese speaking paralegal in the Asian Outreach Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services, providing culturally and linguistically appropriate services for low income residents of Greater Boston. Previously, Mr. Tran worked as a political organizer for various organizations including District City Councilor Frank Baker’s office and grassroots community organizations such as VietAID. Phi Tran is a recent graduate of UMass Boston with a bachelor’s in Art and a minor in Asian American Studies. He has served as a DotHouse board member since 2016.


 

Dominique
Sye

Dominique Sye joined the DotHouse Health Board of Directors in June 2017, bringing her ten plus years of experience in employee benefits administration at the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) in support of DotHouse Health’s mission. A Dorchester resident, Dominique volunteers with the Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance and Little Brothers’ Friends of the Elderly. She holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, Boston and a Masters in Finance from Boston College.


Rosa Beriguete


Rosa Beriguete currently serves as Program Director at Boys & Girls Club of Dorchester. Prior to Boys & Girls Club, Ms. Beriguete worked at DotHouse Health for over six years where she held leadership roles in case management and community wellness. In these roles she showcased her deep commitment to empowering vulnerable populations and improving the health of individuals and families. A devoted empowerment and spiritual coach and reiki practitioner, Ms. Beriguete founded Women Empowerment Consulting, LLC to help women reach their highest potential.  Ms. Beriguete holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Springfield College and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Suffolk University Sawyer Business School.


Paulo De Barros

 

Since 2017, Paulo De Barros has dedicated his time to the immigrant-serving non-profit, Cape Verdean Community UNIDO. Prior to UNIDO, Mr. De Barros was the Director of the Catholic Charities Teen Center at St. Peter’s Parish in Dorchester. For the last 20 years, Mr. De Barros has gone above and beyond for his community. He is one of the founding members of the Safe City Collaborative, a partnership between Catholic Charities, Dorchester Youth Collaborative, and DotWell that has brought increased investment into the Bowdoin-Geneva neighborhood. Mr. De Barros has a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Sociology and Criminology from Bridgewater State University, a Certificate of Human Service Management from Suffolk University, and a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in Non-Profit Management and Public Administration from Endicott College. He and his family live in Dorchester.


Annissa Essaibi-George

Annissa Essaibi-George has served as a Boston City Councilor since 2015. As a City Councilor-At-Large, Ms. Essaibi-George chairs the Council Committee on Education and the Committee on Homelessness, Mental Health and Recovery. Complementing her committee work, Annissa also focuses on public safety, protecting our City’s investments, supporting small businesses, advocating for and protecting elders, and improving the quality of life for every Bostonian. She is also the owner of Stitch House, a yarn and sewing shop in Dorchester. Prior to her appointment to city government, Ms. Essaibi-George taught juniors and seniors at East Boston High School. She graduated from Boston Technical High School (John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science) and earned a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University and a Masters of Education from University of Massachusetts Boston.


Jeffrey Lopes

Jeffrey Lopes, MPA, joined the DotHouse Health Board of Directors in January 2017. Mr. Lopes currently serves as a Police Officer for the City of Boston’s Police Department, and has spent ten years working in public safety and security throughout the greater Boston area. He is an active member of the city’s Cape Verdean community, serving on the Board of Directors for Cape Verdean Community Unido in Dorchester and as a member of the Cape Verdean Police Officers Association. Mr. Lopes received both his Master of Public Administration and Bachelors of Science in Sociology from Suffolk University in Boston, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Law and Policy from Northeastern University.


Joel Wool

A native of the Bay State, Joel Wool has worked in civic engagement, documentary film, environmental advocacy, housing, municipal government and public health. He is a graduate of Emerson College and Tufts University. Joel is also an alumnus of AmeriCorps and the JOIN for Justice Fellowship. During his AmeriCorps service, he was pleased to work with the DotHouse and Codman Square Health Center on civic engagement issues. He subsequently worked with both neighborhood and national environmental advocacy groups and worked with DotHouse on a communications project related to expanding opportunities for young children.


Maryssa Schneider McLean

Maryssa Schneider McLean joined the DotHouse Health Board of Directors in June 2019.  Ms. McLean works for the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development.  Prior to her work in housing administration, Ms. McLean was a practicing attorney focused on employment and fair housing law.  She is a resident of Dorchester, and served on the executive board of the McCormack Civic Association as well as the board of directors of the Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action, for which she remains an advisory board member.  Ms. McLean holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Washington University in St. Louis and a Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law.



Vikram Kambampati

Committed to service, Dr. Vikram Kambampati has practiced psychiatry in corrections, underserved communities, and the military.  He is currently the medical director of behavioral health at Commonwealth Care Alliance, an integrated health plan for individuals with complex care needs, where he is focused on improving population health and equity. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, the Harvard School of Public Health, and completed his residency in psychiatry at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. He has served as a medical corps officer in the US Army Reserve since 2013. Vikram is proud to call Dorchester home, where he, his wife, and three sons are active in the community. 

 



 

Angelina

Hua

Angelina Hua currently works as the Program Coordinator at the Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW). At AARW, they’re building Vietnamese political power in Dorchester through organizing with tenants to fight for their rights and coordinating a leadership development program for Vietnamese young adults, called the Dorchester Organizing and Training Initiative (DOT-I). Born and raised in Dorchester, they grew up with a strong Vietnamese diasporic network and hopes to maintain and empower their community from further displacement. Angelina had previously interned at the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence (ATASK), Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and Matahari Women Workers’ Center. After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College, Angelina returned to Boston to work as a summer teacher for the VietAID Summer Program for Youth (VSPY).
